====== Departmental Windows Systems ====== Department Windows workstations can be found in staff and some faculty and student offices, and the student computing labs in Physics 137 and 469. You can log into these systems using your normal Physics account. Your personal files are all available within "My Documents" on your desktop (this also appears as drive Z:), which is also your home directory on the main Physics server. **Please don't try to store your files on the local hard drive (C:), as they may be deleted during normal system maintenance.** ===== Additional Windows Information ===== * [[:computing:accounts:home|Accounts and Passwords]] * [[:computing:department:windows:software|Standard Software]] * [[:computing:department:windows:quota|Profile Quota]] - Managing your disk space on the network * [[:computing:department:windows:printing|Printing]] * [[:computing:department:windows:printing#printing_to_toshiba_copiers|Printing to Toshiba copiers]] (those requiring Department Code) * [[:computing:department:windows:mail_and_web|Mail and Web]] * [[:computing:department:windows:ssh_and_telnet|SSH and Telnet]] - How to remotely connect to Unix/Linux text consoles * [[:computing:department:windows:xming|X windows (Xming)]] - How to remotely run Unix/Linux graphical applications * [[:computing:department:windows:networkdrives|Accessing network shares]] - How to map a network drive in Windows ====== Personal Windows Systems ====== These pages only cover use of Windows systems within our centrally-managed Windows domain.
