* S4 simulations: generation of map-based sims is ongoing. Validation of fisher forecasts looked fine in simplest cases. Now working on introducing effects that can't be done with a fisher forecast, such as more realistic foreground, more complicated noise. Eventually this effort might go to the time domain. Missing piece: way to scale from time domain to map domain to fisher (spectral) domain. Flauger is doing ILCs of map sims and then looking at spectra, probably he is also working on a fancier component separation pipeline for all-sky sims, ILCs were for the small patches.

* what is probe-specific simulation plan

• * Lloyd and Data challenge group has been set up based on same sky being used for S4, using zeroth order frequencies
• * when using Probe, Planck, WMAP, Litebird, Probe imager, etc..total of 90 frequencies must be simulated!!!!!
• * use tophat band approximation for existing missions and nominal tophat bands for future missions. to be updated.

• * will use Hensley/Draine dust modeli, Lazarian sync model from the same underlying MHD to get proper correlations.
• * Kris has looked at one particular scan strategy for a probe (22,77..) and looked at polarization reconstruction.

• * Highlight: Ted Kisner did a search through scan strategy parameter space against various metrics: Daily peak-to-peak dipole variation for example.
