This is an old revision of the document!
Agenda:
Baseline configuration & data synthesis plans (Julian)
Work to date (Mathieu, Josquin as available)
Discussion on approach moving forward (All)
Attending: Shaul, Brandon, Lloyd, Charles, Kris, Jens, Jacques, Belen,
Notes (by Shaul):
Review of baseline configuration that can be used for simulations. Configuration posted on the wiki.
Charles argues that we need to optimize the focal plane, rather than assume a focal plane. Shaul and others argue that this a good goal but
Julian describes what maps will be generated. Current pysm maps will be done by next week.
Path for Brandon/Raphael's new maps:
Once they are ready they will need to be integrated to pysm
Brandon: by next week will have several flavors of foreground maps, but validation work is ongoing. Raphael says E/B ratio is about 1.3, need to understand. Maps are only good for l=100, not higher.
By next week Brandon's maps will be moved to integration to pysm
Charles argues we shouldn't ignore the low frequency; makes a comment that maps are only good for l<100.
l<100 is driven by resolution of MHD simulation. Let's check with the person who makes the simulations. Brandon will follow up with Chang-goo.
Raphael asks about interpolation between bands. Julian says we start by making delta function maps
Once we have the maps: who will analyze
Mathieu - Question: He has been running on PSM, will he migrate to pysm? Yes. Julian says currently not point sources. Mathieu says this will be needed later. All agree. Mathieu can run analysis at high \ell as well.
Raphael - He will run foregrounds removal. Raphael has some component separation algorithms as well. May use them.
Belen - Will apply the methods that was used for Planck (SEVEM?). Also working on neural network method. She wants the components to test whether the methods work.
Josquin - SMICA?
