Friday is a full day, so you should come the night before. The formal program will end Saturday at 1 pm, but optional meetings will take place Saturday afternoon, so we expect some people to stay over Saturday night as well.

  • Give name, institution, which nights you will be at the conference hotel, and whether you wish to present a talk (include short description)
  • See “Lodging” below for the details of the designated hotel. A reserved block of rooms is now full, but you can try anyway. You must contact the hotel directly to reserve your room.

There is a free shuttle from the hotel to the Physics Dept.

We will provide coffee breaks, but you will have to purchase your own meals. There are plenty of places within walking distance for lunch near Aloft (Friday) and the Physics Dept (Saturday).

Friday night dinner will take place at Spoon River within walking distance of Aloft. You can check them out at Spoon River Website. I have reserved for 22-25 people, so if you do NOT intend to come to the banquet, I need to know, in case I have to reduce that number.

The Aloft Hotel has reserved a block of rooms which will be released on Oct 21. Unlike last year, you will have to make your own reservations by calling the hotel at

• Cost is $99/night or $109 with a $10 food voucher (breakfast, etc)

• The BEST WAY (fastest & cheapest) is Light Rail from inside airport northbound (to Minneapolis) to Metrodome stop and walk 2 blocks.

• Rental Car (Parking is $15/day at hotel)

As part of the AARM S4 funding, we can offer reimbursement on travel and lodging of up to $800. with receipts, etc. You will have to pay for your room and get reimbursed.

• Reimbursement Form expense_report-_aarm_meeting.xls and receipts should be handed in at the meeting or sent to Jody afterwards.
