engineering:apr29_11

This is an old revision of the document!

Agenda

  • Summary of Materials Database work with Loach (Anthony)
  • Summary of FLUKA v GEANT (Tony Empl if possible)
  • Current status (update) on the AARMSim (Chao)

PLANNING DISCUSSION

  • Syracuse plans (Richard Schnee)
  • Plans for neutron measurements
  • * Soudan space and update on Neutron Multiplicity (Prisca)
    • Plans for deployment of USD neutron detector (Oleg or DongMing ?)
  • The view from SNOLab: specifically – what was the sense from the Marx committee and how was FAARM or low background counting in general presented and/or discussed (if at all). How much room do you have for a FAARM? Can you imagine a staged FAARM from Soudan/Homestake =⇒ SNOLab? Or should we have independent facilities? What about LRT vs AARM as integrative units for the field? – basically, how might we fit into plans at SNOLab for low background counting? (Richard Ford or maybe a “guest lecture” from Nigel?)
