This is an old revision of the document!

January 21 Agenda

Summary of Last Week's Discussion

  • Accept DongMing's Report - Go with 2.3 m of water thickness in shield
  • Radiopurity of Acrylic and Stainless are similar (input to thickness decision)
  • Immersion Tank goes in far corner
    • optimal shielding
    • possible upgrade to wrap-around water shield and PMT water readout
  • Lower water shield down to tank (cost driver)
    • Top loading from above water shield (removable veto shield)
    • OR Side Loading - needs engineering concept
    • Nitrogen blanket becomes load lock mechanism either way
    • Crane is above water shield and helps with veto shield construction and transport
  • Lee will talk to Dufrane. Need a very rough cost per area coverage for water shield
  • New Drawings need to go to DUSEL by Jan 29 - in time for review by larger collaboration for Feb 4 teleconf
  • Prisca gone next week - Lee leads teleconference

Discussion for this week

  • Summarize Lee and Bob's discussion wrt transfer of infrastructure into DUSEL format.
  • Revisit concept drawings - what is still missing, what needs to be changed
