This is an old revision of the document!

====== Agenda and Minutes (added in italics) ======

* Collaboration Meeting - March 19-20 (Tina Lorsung join us for 10 min) Tina will contact Melissa and work out details. Other sources of travel funding will also be explored. Reimbursement rules need to be checked.

  • Reporting and Tracking
    • Go over new WBS - Quarterly Report will use this
    • Need people to track their work and send me reports every 3 months (next one is March)

This will require adding 3rd and 4th level to the current WBS for each element. Most will start with x.x.1 = Fill out infrastructure matrix. I will contact individuals about their detailed WBS for each element.

  • Transferring our info to DUSEL format (“score” and schedule)
    • WBS dictionary

more details will be added as per above

The plan for staged deployment will be drafted by Prisca and sent for comments, then uploaded onto docushare. Lee and Bob will meet separately to work out best way to transfer infrastructure from wiki to docushare. Meanwhile, Prisca will go over all the wiki documentation and send out questions for clarification and completion - especially concentrating on the other levels. Hazard documentation needs more work by Lee, after which he will tell us to look at it and comment.

  • Priority Design Items
    • Immersion Tank
      • Size: cost, fiducial vol, readout technology, placement
      • utilizing non-dedicated water shield
      • What are the high priority questions we can answer with calculations/simulations

This has always been the hardest to design. We originally wanted to simply put a place holder in based on the Borexino CTF, but such a device drives the water shield design, so more detail needs to be worked out. We probably have no more than a few months to brainstorm about a new design before we have to punt and simply leave space for it somewhere else. All collaboration members should talk about this with experts they know and consider carefully what is the main purpose of such a device.

  • Water Shield
    • Size (shrink it?)
    • Muon Veto (internal or external)
    • Material (acylic, stainless, bag)
    • Segmentation
    • What are the high priority questions we can answer with calculations/simulations

DongMing will create a summary paper using simulation work already done, to quantify the thickness of the water layer required for various structural support radiopurity levels. An initial cost per thickness and per area covered and per material used would be very useful at this time. Prisca and Lee should discuss this.
