====== Logging in to Departmental Windows Remotely ======
We can give access to labs for their members to connect with ''Remote Desktop'', but each lab has to request a group policy to enable it.

The remote desktop IP port is open to all of the university; If you wish to connect from elsewhere you must first connect using the [[http://www.oit.umn.edu/vpn/|university VPN]].

If you want to access the same desktop session as the currently logged in screen, you can connect as the same user and put **' /console'** after the hostname.
