<note important> You must install the BigFix client software while logged in to your PC with an account that has administrator privileges. If you are installing on Windows Vista or Windows7, you will be prompted for administrative approval before the installation can continue. </note>

• Download the bigfix installer (BESAgent_Windows.msi), and run it.
• When the InstallShield Wizard opens, click next

• On the “Destination Folder” screen, click Next to accept the default install folder

• When the wizard says Ready to Install click the Install button.

• You MAY be prompted by windows for permission to run as administrator. Grant permission.

• A progress bar will show

• When the progress bar is finished, click Finish
• You are done!

<note important> Note: The BigFix client installer opens port UDP 52311 inbound for Windows because BigFix will not work properly if your firewall isn't configured to accommodate it. </note>
