The department has a license for Matlab which allows us to run it on any university-owned (not personal) system.

Version 2010b is available for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X.

The specific OS versions supported by Matlab have changed over time. In particular, Mac OS is now only supported on Intel-based systems, and Mac OS 10.6 or later is required. See http://www.mathworks.com/support/sysreq for more details.

In order to run the software you will need to be connected to the university network. Licenses are served from a license server and continuous network connection is required to use any of the toolboxes.

The software installers are available as zip archives from the software downloads section of MyPhys.

Also available in the matlab folder is a license.txt file containing the PLP (Personal License Password), and license.lic which is the license file itself.
