General comment

  • Google map (maps.google.com) could give the actual distance to the U, but if one has the intension to ride a bus, check out the available bus routes to the U at www.metrotransit.org. since there might not be direct line it will take up to 30-40 min (in my case) much more time than it would take driving.

Cost of Living data

While you are here, are you willing to share your estimate of annual cost of living?

costcomments on your life style (own a car?, how often eating out? distance relation-no need to reveal if you don't want to)
$11,00010 months, school year - rent and food biggest costs - buy meals from local cafes equally as often as I cook
$8,50010 months (school year) - Rent is largest share with food coming in second. Eat out at local restaurants once a week.
$16,00012 months - Rent is the largest part with food in second as usual. I dine out maybe once or twice a week. I also own a car, but drive it seldom.
$16,00012 months - Rent and food are probably about equal, since I despise cooking. Own a car but never use it.
