-1)  Travel awards will be awarded as lump-sum travel fellowships.  Students must submit by email a formal request to the Director of Graduate Studies (Joseph Kapusta: kapusta@physics.umn.edu) with a copy to Judy Soine (grad@physics.umn.edu).  Requests shall be in the form of an abstract and estimated budget and if approved, the student will receive a fellowship not to exceed %%$%%600 or half of the total estimated cost of the trip, whichever is less.
