Here is some information about how the department will support you if you want to go to a conference, workshop, etc.

Graduate students who have been accepted as speakers or for a poster presenters at a conference or the APS meeting (or equivalent meeting).

The department will pay half of your expenses, up to $600 per trip, with a career total of no more than $1200.

As many times as you want as long as the total does not exceed $1200.

There is no application form. You need to send the abstract of your talk to the Director of Graduate Studies, preferably by Email. If you don't have an abstract handy, but your slides (in pdf, ppt or any other sensible form) are available, send them instead. The DGS will inform Shelley Frankel about your eligibility. When you get back from the trip, ask Shelley how to proceed with your reimbursement. Bear in mind before you leave on your trip that you will need to save receipts equivalent to the amount you are seeking.
