Who Are We?

The Society of Physics Students at the University of Minnesota is an academic and social club.
SPS provides opportunities for its members to be with others who share their interest in physics.
We offer a place to talk about physics, a place to work on homework, a chance to encourage youth
to learn about physics, and the opportunity to socialize with other, like minded people.

Where Are We?

SPS is physically locate in the sub-basement of Tate, room S-50. There is almost always someone there
during the day. We always welcome newcomers, just knock loudly if the door is closed.

Events

We are currently in the planning stages of a trip to Fermilab. It is scheduled for the week of
April 9th-11th. We plan to drive down on Friday, spend the night in a hotel near Fermilab, then tour
Fermilab on Saturday. We will then spend the night again and drive back to the U early Sunday. If
you are interested, send an email to sps@physics.umn.edu.

To visit us in person, just stop by S-50 Tate Hall(the sub-basement of the Physics Building). There's
