The educational labs have Locknetic locks installed that require Ucards for entry. Everyone that requires access also needs to have a Physics profile with a valid Ucard number entered.

• Ucards are obtained from the Ucard office in the basement of Coffman Union (rm G22.) The Ucard website has more info.

• If you do not have a Physics profile, contact the Physics front office (room 145) regarding setting one up.

• To add your Ucard # you login to the Physics site, then click on your name. Select Edit My Profile, then select Edit Directory Contact Info. At the bottom you will find a space to enter your Ucard number (a picture of a Ucard shows the correct number to enter.)

If you have any problems with lab access, please email lab@physics.umn.edu. During periods when labs are in session, a key (attached to a large metal disk) that opens every lab room is located in closet #7 (across from room 233) on the second floor. Any office key will open the closet for access. Please return the key immediately after use!!
