Discussion of CAA Findings

• have to look at the science impacts
  • start with sensitivity — r is in “first place” scientifically
  • look at the high frequency bands
  • different technology, science most affected is galactic

• what drives the cost of the spacecraft
  • data rate
  • spin rate
  • power for coolers
  • coolers are half the cost of the instrument
  • V-groove radiators — honeycomb is massive, kapton-style lighter

• Shaul - get risk list from Amy

• Colin asked where CMB lensing fits in report, structure-formation science
  • will a plot of the lensing power spectrum appear?
  • Raphael - we can discuss. No strong feeling about it.
  • neutrino mass, etc., … lensing has to go somewhere
