Report schedule and status:
- Jan. 14 is most recent deadline
- But government shutdown moves the deadline:
  - “In the event of a government shutdown, the Probe Studies’ Final Delivery Deadline – presently on January 14, 2019 - will be pushed back at no cost by the number of workdays that equals the number of idle workdays elapsed during the shutdown plus three.”
- Earliest NASA deadline is ~Jan. 20.
- Effective deadline: ~Jan. 17 ; SH leaving to India on Jan. 18; Semester begins on Jan. 22
- Release another public version this weekend

  - Replace “Reionization” with “First Luminous Sources” (line looks continuous, not dotted. Need to move the start of the line)
  - Remove Dark Energy
  - Change “primordial Magentic …” to “Primordial Fields” and move start of dotted
  - Change white strip inside of the colored, so it doesn't have such sharp boundaries
  - “Milky Way Dynamics …” and “Interstellar Dust” should point to 'our galaxy'. But there is no special location for 'our galaxy'. Perhaps make pico smaller and add some reference for the galaxy?
  - no CMB equator
  - no CMB mirroring
  - change the size or just the spacing of “PROBE OF INFLATION AND COSMIC ORIGINS” to that it is exactly (to the printer's point) as wide as “PICO”.
  - question/suggestion: are the dotted lines all meant to end in particular places? Since many of them apply over large redshift ranges, it doesn't seem like they should. On the other hand, since some do and some don't, it looks a little random. Maybe the dots in the lines for distributed ones could fade to grey then black over the relevant redshift range for that “quantity”.

Effective deadline is Jan. 20. Shaul traveling then busy after that.
General A/I: Release another public version this weekend, Jan. 4
- SH: this was delayed due to prioritizing a complete version over a quick version. Goal is 99% complete for everything.
Propose extra telecon. Jan 9th (standard, 3 pm CST) add Jan 11th (Shaul will send doodle for time)
final telecon Jan 16th and finalize report by Jan 17th.
ALL: please read your sections of report Look for details like sentence structure, typos, etc. But pay attention to the big, high level messages.

Author/Endorsers still being added. Formatting still being adjusted. Affiliations being added for authors.
Funding source acknowledgements. If you need to acknowledge specific grants/funding sources send ASAP
- AT: Will send a lockheed martin acknowledgement.
Exec summary: first 2 pages should be coverage of all the science we do. SH adding another 1/2 - 1 page on foregrounds, systematics, technology, engineering Completing by Friday.
- Volunteers needed for Exec summary review: Charles will do so. Tim as well.
- Table 2.1: TP, CL don't like. TP and CL will think about what can be done to make it more readable, and if other key mission parameters can/should be included.
  - SH: Many people have asked for an early summary of the instrument. And if it is vertical it takes a full page. I agree with the need for an early summary.
Science (99% complete; need small Figure tweaks by Raphael and Alex)
- Tweaks to page 5 and Figure 2.7. Text is otherwise complete.
- Volunteers to read 2-2.5? Marcel S. will do so and send comments.
Complementarity with other surveys + suborbital
- SH: is ~ 90% repeat of earlier material. Also if various surveys are not mentioned people get offended. Suggestion:
  - '2.8.1 other surveys' remove? + suborbital - moved to 2.8 + rephrased. Who can review?
  - TP: What point is being made? Does PICO rely on other surveys? SH: Yes for DESI+Euclid and for other science not in STM.
    - CL: Main point was intended to be how PICO fits in with other CMB experiments, not how PICO fits into entirety of science. I agree with removing 2.8.1.
    - JB: Key to get across where PICO + another survey are both needed for some science. And where PICO is large benefit to existing surveys. I think all this can be (or already is) done in the science sections. Will look through science and suggest additions to highlight other surveys if needed.
    - MS: agree can remove this. was thinking about need for LSST. This is in fnl section. Also all neutrino mass measurements at low z need a better tau. This needs to be mentioned somewhere. SH: I think this is mentioned, but may need to be highlighted.
      - SH: will send current 2.8.1 to MS so he can check if sentences need to be added throughout
    - CL: Change 2.8.1 to 'Sub-orbital CMB experiments'. SH: Okay, sounds good.
  - NB: what was original goal of section? SH: past goal was a single place to summarize how PICO complements many other surveys. But it is all in the text, so not so critical.
2.6 Signal separation - now immediately after 'science';
- Significant changes over last few days. Should be done today. Now finalizing. Who can review?
- No one, still need a reviewer! Jacques suggested, but he wrote too much of it. Need someone more distant.
- CL: I will read and suggest Raphael. SH: Will ask Raphael
2.7 Systematics - finalizing next
- SH: Will volunteer people to review
2.8 (new, see above)
2.9 Requirements - next
3-6 reviewing; revising in between. SH: Will volunteer some of the tech/jpl people for reviews.
- CL: Figure 5.2? Very fuzzy.
  - TP: Need to find the original. Probably from CMB-S4. It is on the to-do list.

Possible mods

  - CL: Some are over range of z. Can line of dots gradually gray out over the appropriate z range? May not work, but worth trying. Very much like the cover overall.

- Replace “Reionization” with “First Luminous Sources” (line looks continuous, not dotted. Need to move the start of the line)
  - SH: Our text refers to 'First Luminous Sources'.
  - CL: Two different things. SH: Then just keep Reionization only.
- Remove Dark Energy
  - SH: We don't claim any strong constraints. Only on sigma8(z) which informs DE. No explicit discussion of DE.
  - CL: Leaving out 70% of the universe seems odd. And we don't provide the dominant info about everything there. On the other hand we don't do a lot with DE.
  - TP: agree. Think absence is more remarkable than its presence is a false claim.
- Change “primordial Magentic …” to “Primordial Fields” and move start of dotted line

  - AT: Likely to be too much to fit in the image. SH: Agree, that is a possibility.
  - SH: Then where should MWD, ID point? As close to PICO as possible? Various: yes.
    - CL: lines go all the way to PICO and look radial will help.
