Agenda/notes

  • Julian: simulation efforts almost underway. Massive CMB-S4 sim underway for next week: Berkeley group will have almost all of Cori for a couple of days. In principle, if all goes well, and a PICO focal plane definition is available, can piggyback 12500 detectors for ~4 years with noise maps.
  • Systematics could later be simulated, and probably don't all require full mission/full focal plane.
  • note that Andrea Zonca has on-the-fly bandpass mismatch tool integrated.
  • What does Julian need from Shaul: A Focal plane definition is the main thing. should be sorted out today at EC. He'll also check in on noise spectrum definition.
  • Foreground workshop from 2 weeks ago looked at sky models
  • Foreground realisations in the first instance will be convolved and added to the noise models, skipping time series.
  • Maurizio to update analysis he did for CORE by looking at S/N and time scales over which dipole signal varies min/max. Mid-January is LSPC review doc deadline, so he should be able to look at this for PICO as soon as he's done with that. THANK YOU, Maurizio.
  • Brendan to follow up again with Brad to try to get an update on GRASP sim scope/timescale
  • Next week, we'll have a discussion with the Cantabria group about their cubesat calibrator concept.
