Water Shield
Description/Name: Water Shield at the 4850' level
Planned use (be specific):
Primary function: provide common first-level gamma and neutron shielding for screening detectors and ultra-sensitive immersion tank
Temporary and permanent storage: will house screeners of various sensitivities, including alpha-beta counters, HPGe detectors, immersion tank
Sample and detector handling: accommodations for alpha-beta screeners, HPGe screeners, immersion tank
Jigs, fixtures, scaffolds, etc. necessary
30 ton overhead crane; smaller cranes
