Shaul reports on e-mail communications with Steve. Steve reports a positive discussion with Eric Smith regarding the thrust of the proposal. He still wants to talk to a number of people in the community. He expects a response tomorrow (Friday, October 12).

Shaul points out that we need to move quickly if Steve declines and suggest that we have a process in place for how to proceed.

Some people think we need to re-vote. Others suggest that since we had a ranked voting we re-count the votes already cast, but removing Meyer.

Action - Eric will re-count the votes eliminating Meyer. If the vote is clear we can proceed, if not we need to re-vote.
