This is an old revision of the document!

University of Washington, Seattle

  • Proposal and separate budget
  • Organizing Committee: Shih-Chieh Hsu (Associate Professor), Gordon Watts (Professor), Ann Goussiou (Professor), Henry Lubatti (Professor)
  • Venue: Seattle Campus
  • Total cost:$830k (registration of $830 pp)
  • Additional apples-to-apples questions
    • Coffee break prices for 1000 people for 10 days.
    • Banquet and reception cost per person, assuming 500 people.
    • How would that number change if we went up or down by 250 people?

Questions to the organizers

  • add bullet points with confusions and draft questions. We will collate and ask the organizers

Pro

  • add your comments as bullet points. Nest if you like.
  • Pretty campus, but very hilly (could this be an accessibility issue?)
  • Attractive area to visit, could be considered more family friendly as a result.

Con

  • add your comments as bullet points. Nest if you like.
  • Somewhat geographically isolated, though it is close to a major airport.
    • indeed, essentially far from everywhere.
  • Expensive registration on top of expensive distance and I wouldn't expect seattle to be that cheap either…
  • Local organizing committee a little small? (I thought there would be more at UW)

Space for your comments - especially what issues are most important to you (include name)

  • add your comments as bullet points. Nest if you like.
