All the major departmental printers are pre-installed on the Physics windows computers. However, the “default printer” is set randomly, so you will need to set your preferred default printer.

• From the Start menu, go to Settings, and choose “Devices and Printers”
• Find the printer you want to use by default, and click the right mouse button over it. This will open a menu. Choose “Set as Default Printer”.

To print to the Toshiba copiers (such as the Astronomy copier, 358c), you need to supply your Department Code. To do this, open the Print window from any application, choose the Toshiba printer, and hit “Properties”.

In the Properties window, choose the “Print Job” tab. This tab has a “Department” field, where you can enter your department code.

There's also a “Save As..” button, which will let you save your settings (including dept code) for next time.

The Toshiba copier has a lot of printing options which would be impossible to cover here, but clicking the “Help” button in the Properties window will give further details.
