Printing from Physics Windows systems
Adding your printers
No printers are installed by default on our Windows 7 workstations. Instead you must manually connect to the printer(s) you need. You will only need to do this once, and it will be remembered by windows.
You should find a shortcut on your desktop called “Phys & Astro Printers”. Open it by double-clicking.
Find the printer you would like, and double-click it.
Optionally, set your default printer (next section)
<note>Unfortunately we have two naming schemes in play for the Windows print queues. Some use our old names, which are simply the room number. Others are of the format “SPA-XXX-HP” or “SPA-XXX-XEROX”, where XXX is the (Tate) room number, and HP or XEROX is the printer type.
